Our Sunday Traditional Tomten Tour is a shorter and faster version of our Immersion Experience. Much like our previous tours, this up to 3-hour educational walking experience takes visitors through the entire farm allowing them to see just what it means for our Rescues to live in peace, protection and possibility.

You will have a chance to meet the more than 75 Rescues, see the sanctuary, and experience the very impact of your support firsthand.

As with all of our tours, we will get up close and personal with those who have been given the gift of life on this journey, hear their impactful stories and answer all your questions on who we are, what we do and how we do it.

We are certain you will love every minute and end the tour inspired to do more, be more and give more to animals in need.

As always, advanced registration for all events is required, so please note the very important information in the details section below before registering for the June 16th Sunday Traditional Tomten Tour.

Details:

Please read carefully as we have a few important details to share so everyone (humans and animals alike) can enjoy a wonderful time.

Our 10th Anniversary weekend is a celebration of YOU, the folks who have helped achieve this incredible milestone. Due to space limitations and animal welfare, tickets are limited to you and one guest per person. Should you have any questions or need to bring someone else, please reach out to us. We wish we could welcome everyone. Don't worry, if you would like to introduce the magic of Tomten to friends and family, we have several additional tours scheduled for this year.

Gates open 15 minutes prior to the Sunday Traditional Tomten Tour for check-in (10:00 am).

Our address is 929 Court Street, Haverhill, NH. Should you arrive early, please wait in your vehicles along the road until the gates open to allow parking at the big red barn.

It is going to be a fabulous day but remember to plan your schedule accordingly, this is a weekend of many events and over 100 guests. So everything can run smoothly, we regret that no early birds, late arrivals or unexpected drop-ins are allowed as it detracts from the experience of others. Please note that we do lock all gates once we have left sight of the barn and started the tour.

Don't forget to wear appropriate footwear for this walking tour (no flip-flops or sandals allowed) and bring an extra layer. We will be walking throughout the entire farm, sometimes on uneven terrain and the weather can shift quite a bit up here, especially at this time of year. The average temperature in June runs between 53 and 73 so it could sway in any direction. We encourage everyone to be prepared for hot, cold or wind as our forecasts change by the minute.

Our Sunday Tomten Tour is a shorter and faster version of our Immersion Experience. Much like our traditional tours, this 3+ hour walking experience takes visitors through the entire farm allowing them to see just what it means for our Rescues to live in peace, protection and possibility.

Bring your passion for animals, your love of Tomten, your enthusiasm and lots of questions, as well as a signed Tomten release (simply copy and print from the confirmation email) and a photo id. We cannot admit anyone without a release and photo identification - no exceptions, so please don't forget.

Our Rescues are invited to interact should they so choose and we respect their decision to engage or not as we travel together throughout the entirety of Tomten Farm and Sanctuary.

Please note depending on the questions we are presented with, we transparently discuss why we rescue and the fates our Rescues faced. While we love children, we kindly remind parents that the answers are formed with adults in mind. Should you wish to bring a child under the age of 10, we encourage you to reach out to chat first and ask that there is one adult per child at all times for supervision purposes. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to making sure the Sunday Traditional Tomten Tour is enjoyable for all.

Of course, this is our 10th Anniversary Weekend, and we hope you are able to join us for some of the other events as well.

Looking to immerse yourself for an even longer and slower tour, you may want to consider the June 15th Saturday Tomten Tour Immersion Experience. Registration information for that can be found right here.

Perhaps if you really want to fill your day, you will want to join us earlier in the day for our June 16th Sunday Morning Meditation Walk. This 7:15 - 8:45 am treat is a much shorter, silent walk through the farm is an opportunity to wake with the animals, grab your calm and your camera and experience a one-of-a-kind morning event. Registration information for that can be found right here.

Should you wish to experience the Meditation Walk but can’t do it all in one day (we get it, it’s a lot of walking) this serene opportunity is also available on Saturday morning. The June 15th Saturday Morning Meditation Walk registration information can be found right here.

Likewise, you may even want to visit us the night before and join us for the Saturday Night Sit Down with the Founder and Board. Registration information for the June 15th Saturday Night Sit Down can be found right here.

We also have a Friday NIght Fun event. This friendly get-together will be Friday from 5:30 to 7:00 pm and offer you an opportunity to connect with the behind-the-scenes people who have toiled, all-volunteer to make Tomten Farm and Sanctuary the incredible animal haven that it is today. Have questions for us? We love that. Bring them all! We look forward to answering them without the rush of a Tomten Tour and chances are, if there are things you wish to know, other guests will want to know them too. Registration information for the June 14th Friday Night Fun can be found right here.

Enjoy a break between events as you relax in Wooliam’s Welcome area, participate in the bucket drawings, shop our merchandise, read our wishing wall and otherwise hang out until we can join together for a sit-down evening of conversation, prizes and fun.

We so look forward to welcoming you and thank you for your continued support and understanding as we do our best to accommodate as many event participants as possible.

Thank you for being on our journey as together we leap into our second decade of making dreams come true for animals in need.
