Rise and shine on Tomten Time.
Step into stillness. Step into sanctuary. Step into Tomten. We invite you to join us for one of our most cherished experiences, the Morning Meditation Walk at Tomten Farm and Sanctuary followed by coffee and a friendly Q&A session with some of the Board. On Sunday, July 19th, rise and shine on Tomten Time and leave the outside world behind.
This early morning, 1 1/2 hour silent walk starts bright and early at 7:15 am and it is a unique opportunity to become a part of the farm and all its magic.
As we move quietly together, you’ll experience peace, protection and possibility and share the energy of this unique property and the very special Rescues who call it home.
Breathe deep and relax as you take it all in and share the tranquility of the farm as the earth and the animals wake to celebrate the warmth and kindness of the season. Inhale the scent of Summer on the early morning air, become aware of the songs of the birds, the whisper of a breeze, the gentle nicker of a horse and the soft moos of those who greet you. Of course, you are also sure to hear the cockadoodledoos of the roosters call to the sun and celebrate the pure joy of living another day..
Sunday, July 19th is your chance to experience Tomten without the hustle and bustle of our regular, Educational Walking Tours. We simply ask that you remain present - you pause, you breathe, and you ground yourself to the earth, and embrace the beauty of all that surrounds you. For a brief moment we will be connected in a way that is not available every day.
We will be quietly pausing to sit and simply "be" at several of the pastures so you can take it all in. Feel free to bring your camera and water bottle and know that you will end the walk relaxed, refreshed and touched by the miracles you helped create.
Together we are Tomten Farm and Sanctuary.
As always, to be sure this event is all it can be, advanced registration is required. Please take a moment to read the important details in the section below. We hope to see you. Namaste.
Details:
We have a few important details to share so everyone (humans and animals alike) can enjoy a wonderful time.
Gates open 15 minutes prior to the July 19th, Sunday Morning Meditation Walk for check-in (7:00 am).
Our address is 929 Court Street, Haverhill, NH. Should you arrive early, please wait in your vehicles along the road until the gates open to allow parking at the big red barn.
It is going to be a time, but we kindly ask that you remember to plan your schedule accordingly. So everything can run smoothly, we regret that no early birds, late arrivals or unexpected drop-ins are allowed as it detracts from the experience of others. Please note that we do lock all gates once events have begun.
Don't forget to wear appropriate footwear for this meditation walk (no flip-flops or sandals allowed) and perhaps bring an extra layer. We will be walking throughout the entire farm, sometimes on uneven terrain and the weather can shift quite a bit up here, especially at this time of year. The average temperature in July runs between 58 and 78 so it could sway in any direction. We encourage everyone to be prepared for hot, cold, rain or wind as our forecasts change by the minute.
We must remind participants that this is a guided morning meditation walk and not a trip to a petting zoo. Our rescues are invited to interact should they so choose, but we respect their decision to interact or not as we travel together throughout the entirety of Tomten Farm and Sanctuary.
Bring your passion for animals, your love of Tomten, your enthusiasm and lots of questions for after the walk, as well as a signed Tomten release (simply copy and print from the confirmation email you'll receive after registration) and a photo id. We cannot admit anyone without a release and photo identification - no exceptions, so please don't forget.
While we love children, we kindly remind parents that this is a silent morning meditation walk. As a courtesy to other participants, please be certain this is a good fit. Likewise, we ask that your pups sit this one out. We cannot allow dogs on the farm, even in your cars. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to making sure the Morning Meditation Walk is special for all.
Thank you for being on our journey as together we make dreams come true for animals in need.
Namaste.
