Tomten Farm and Sanctuary: 929 Court St Haverhill, NH 03765 Get Directions
You are invited to join the Tomten Immersion Tour on Saturday, June 13th for a 4+ hour educational walking experience filled with peace, protection and possibility.
There is nothing quite like experiencing Tomten in person.
Our most comprehensive tour experience, this extended, in-depth Immersion Tour is for you if you would love the opportunity to see the sanctuary, meet the animals and find out more about who we are and what we do at a slower pace than our Traditional Tours. We will walk the farm and meet the 100+ rescued lives who call Tomten home and be sure to take a few minutes to simply sit and be in this place where the impossible becomes possible every day.
If this is your first visit, our four+ hour educational walking tour will surround and immerse you in all that is Tomten as we strive to make every animal’s dreams come true. If you have been lucky enough to have joined us in the past, this is a chance to greet old friends, meet new ones and learn even more about Tomten. You will come to know the Rescues more intimately and see what true sanctuary can and should be.
As with all of our tours, we will get up close and personal with those who have been given the gift of life on this journey, hear their impactful stories, answer all of your questions and shed light on just what we have planned in our second decade.
This is not a petting zoo experience. Our Rescues are invited to interact should they so choose. We respect their decision to engage or not as we travel together throughout the entirety of Tomten Farm and Sanctuary and while we have fingers crossed for lots of meet and greets - the level of interaction is entirely determined by them.

Details:
Please read carefully as we have a few important details to share so everyone (humans and animals alike) can enjoy a wonderful time.
Gates open 15 minutes prior to the Tour for check-in (11:15 am).
Our address is 929 Court Street, Haverhill, NH. Should you arrive early, please wait in your vehicles along the road until the gates open to allow parking at the big red barn.
It is going to be a fabulous day, but remember to plan your schedule accordingly. To make this day seamless and meaningful for everyone, we regret that no early birds, late arrivals or unexpected drop-ins are allowed as it detracts from the experience of others. Likewise, we ask that your dogs sit this one out and remain home. We cannot allow dogs on the tour and for their own safety, they cannot remain in your vehicles during June weather as we adventure. Please note that we do lock all gates once we have left sight of the barn and started the tour.
Appropriate footwear is required for this educational walking tour. So, no flip-flops or sandals allowed. Just in case of rain or a gray, cloudy day, don't forget to bring an extra layer and perhaps sun and rain gear. June with her mild temperatures kicks off our warm season, a time of ease and light, but she can be as fickle as she is beautiful. We will be walking throughout the entire farm, sometimes on uneven terrain and the weather can shift quite a bit up here. The average temperature in June runs from 53-75 so be prepared for sun, wind or rain as our forecasts can change by the minute.
Bring your passion for animals, your love of Tomten, your enthusiasm, lots of questions, and a snack or bagged lunch (out of respect for the animals, no meat please). Additionally, you will need a signed Tomten release (simply copy and print from the confirmation email you will receive after registration) and a photo id. We cannot admit anyone without a release and photo identification - no exceptions, so please don't forget.
Note: Depending on the questions we are presented with, we transparently discuss why we rescue and the fates our Rescues faced. This tour includes candid discussion about the realities of rescue. While we love children, we kindly remind parents that the answers are formed with adults in mind. Should you wish to bring a child under the age of 10, we encourage you to reach out to chat first and ask that there is one adult per child at all times for supervision purposes. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to making sure the Tomten Tour is enjoyable and appropriate for all.
Thank you for being on this journey as together we leap into our second decade of making dreams come true for animals in need. We so look forward to welcoming you and thank you for your continued support and understanding as we do our best to accommodate as many tour participants as possible in the best way for both you and the Rescues.
We can't wait to see you!
– Jen, Laima, Michele, Julia, Lynn, Judy, Tina and all the Rescues who call Tomten home.
